I drooled over the crazy shearling boots from Burberry for Fall Winter 2010 – 2011. Luisaviaroma finally has the short style for sale. Shearling Low Boots by Burberry Prosum They look pretty comfortable with the rubble sole. However, they do have a 5 inch heel. It looks like there is a bit of a platform too. I’m hoping the Burberry store or Holt’s carries these shoes so I can get a closer look at them. images: luisaviaroma.com
I really enjoyed the Burberry Fall Winter 2010 – 2011 collection. There was lots of shearling, huge collars and aviation influence. It was a coat lovers dream: cropped, long, oversized and sleek. The clothing definitely took a back seat. Burberry Prorsum continued with their “clunky stompers” footware trend juxtaposed with sleek boots. Rugged shearling lined boots with multiple buckles are transformed with a stiletto.  They came in various heights too. A stark contrast to the clunky stompers were sleek thigh high boots in leather and reptile skin. The Burberry store in Toronto opened quietly in October. The opening fete was last week and I was in attendance. Burberry celebrated the recent opening of its new flagship store on Bloor Street in Toronto, Canada. Over 200 guests attended the event at the store including Ali Larter who wore Burberry. Music on the evening was provided by British DJ Tom Guinness who features in the Autumn Winter 2009 Burberry ad campaign and who was flown in from New York for the event. I had already checked the place out and was disappointed that majority of items in the store were of the Burberry check variety. I thought they did a better job with the men’s clothing than the women’s. I was hoping for more of the unusual pieces from Burberry Porsum in the store. Alas, they were left behind in England, unfit for Canadian consumption. Boo. The store is pretty nice. It’s 2 floors and carries Burberry Prorsum, Burberry London, Burberry Brit collections as well as Burberry Sport, Childrenswear and accessories. Tom Guinness played …
It was all about the pants for me at Burberry Prorsum Resort 2010. I want them all. You can also see the strong shoulder is permeating through all designers. I really liked new style of trench dress that Christopher Bailey presented this season. There is just enough minimal use of trench details for the idea of a trench in the dress to come across. Burberry is known for their trench coats and I love the ombre treatment Christoper Bailey had added this season. Love the pants, I’m really obsessed with the baggy right now. The shoes are getting too ridiculous. Look how high that heel is, crazy.
