Rick Owens Wool funnel neck coat
After seeing some friends wearing their Comme des Garcons stuff from H&M, I’ve changed my mind. Now I think I might make my way down to grab a few things. These are what I’m thinking of. Comme des Garcons at H&M Canadian store locations
Jackets from Mackage I need another jacket like I need a hole in the head but these two from Mackage are pretty nice. The one with the architectural collar is wool. The other is nylon and packable. I like the idea of being able to pack up a jacket. I have a packable but it’s a lot more utilitarian and not very fashion. Mackage has a brand new online store now too. images: mackage.com
A jacket from Etro One of my amazing consignment finds. 50 bucks! Retail value at the time, $1595 (the original price tag was in the pocket). It’s a beautiful jacket that MJ kept pestering me to buy when it was priced higher. I’m not sure what season it’s from. If anyone can place it, let me know in the comments. This picture was taken in Montreal in my hotel room at the Armor Manoir Sherbrooke. I loved the look of the photo so I needed an excuse to use the image in a blog post.

A great black leather jacket. I’m very picky. It has to be motorcycle style and masculine looking. I like the look of this jacket called Xavier. Surface2Air partnered with Justice to produce a clothing line. image: Surface2Air/a> I found this through another site and when I remember I will link back.
Members Only Berry Nylon Jacket One of the few things to come back from the 80s that I approve. Get me some cardboard so I can do a headspin! Ha, ha. Comment if you saw this in the theater like I did! The arrows are pointing at Jean Claude Van Damme if you can believe it. image: membersonlystyle.com EDIT: God, I was sleeping and forgot the image of the jacket

Rick Owens Metallic leather biker jacket I’m obsessed with Rick Owens leather right now. MJ just bought the most perfect Rick Owens leather jacket and I’m in love.
Now or Never has been very good to me this season (It’s over for this season people). I managed to get this Rick Owens Funnel Neck Jacket for 75% off. It was the last one on the rack and it fit perfectly. I was in love. Initially, I walked away from the jacket and left the store, but I kept talking about it which was driving MJ nuts. I couldn’t get it out of my mind. A la Trent Reznor, it kept calling me, kept on calling me! So, I went back and the rest is history. Afterwards, MJ informed me that this jacket sold out completely, everywhere. This jacket fits amazing. The arms are a very slim cut but they are lined in silk so that it’s easy to put it on. The underside of the arms is made from a knit material which also adds to the sleekness of the arm. The double collar is drool worthy and I love how high it stands up. It’s like urban armour and I can block …

A jacket from the Rena Lange Pre-Fall 2008 collection I really like the collar detail on this jacket via thefashionspot.com
Miss Rowe swing coat This piece is from the debut Spring 2008 collection from Miss Rowe. She was at the TFI Press Breakfast, which I missed. A lot of her stuff has a lot of volume but I love this coat.
An Elroy Apparel jacket Organic clothing is just getting better and better. This beautiful jacket is by Vancouver native Leanne McElroy. I’m a big fan of this dress too. These items are from the Spring 2008 collection. Elroy Apparel is available in Toronto at Propaganda 686 Yonge St Toronto via notcouture.com
zero + maria cornejo knitwear Zero was one of the fashion shows I attended when I was in NYC for the spring collections. Holt Renfrew carries Zero in Canada.
Dolce & Gabbana lacquered cotton coat I love yellow so I was really drawn to this coat. Isn’t the dress awesome too.
After New York Fashion Week, I’m so glad that Paris has gone the opposite of neutral; thy’re going colour crazy. Dries has done the best prints so far. Love him. Of course I’m loving the accessories too.
Sometimes readers ask me questions. If they are of value to all my readers I post them online. If you have a question, please feel free to submit it using the contact form. I’ll definitely do my best to answer it. I want I got reader Gloria wrote: This is a bit of a mundane quest, but I’m looking for a good blazer to dress up jeans … the places I go either have more conservative blazers more suited for business, or more stylish looks but not very well cut. I’m looking for something feminine, a little different, and hopefully not bank-breaking if possible (under a hundred dollars). If you can suggest some places, that would be great as it’s perfect blazer season! Your best bet right now is Femme de Carriere. Yes, the shop is more business orientated but they are having a great sale right now and blazers are cheap. I have like 3 suits from these guys and they are really good for the price. I’ve gotten 300 dollar blazers for 70-90 …
Loeffler Randall shoes and clothes I’ve previously gushed about Loeffler Randall shoes. They have a couple very cute coats to go along with their great shoes. Lets not forget the shoes after the jump…
Here are two finds I got at the Stella Luna Annual Clearance Sale, both were $15 a piece I now have a leather jacket in my wardrobe, a dark green one at that. This jacket was a little too big but I could resist its Mod influence. I love vintage coats my closet is full of them. The sovintagepatterns.com website is making me salivate with all the 60s patterns they have available. I wish I could sew.
Amelia Earhart’s outfit I had no idea Amelia Earhart was so cool. I love this look. The jacket and boots, sigh. I need to reproduce it somehow. I don’t own a leather jacket and really had no interest in one until now. I will have to troll the vintage stores to find something perfect. Style.com has Amelia Earhart as their style icon. This is a really great look too. images: style.com
