I received a package containing a pair of Zip Ankle Jean Legging in Black by Joe’s Jeans from Holt Renfrew PR just before Christmas. Jean Leggings were never something I would have tried before this package arrived. I hate to say it, I’ve drunk the koolaid, I like them. When I pulled them out of the magenta bag, they looked a little small. I’ve come to realize that you need to buy them smaller than you think. They are denim and do stretch a bit. They are comfortable, it was the first thing that surprised me. They are like wearing non-denim leggings. The fabric is stretchy and soft. The zippers on the side make it easy to put on and remove. I checked out the stash at Holt’s. They have a ton of different styles included distressed denim, acid wash and tie dye. The price range is $116 – $140. The pair I have are $128. I thought it was hilarious that the distressed denim ones cost $140 even though from a production standpoint I …
I’m loving the Thieves bodysuit. The one pictured is wool, but it also comes in bamboo. It’s ridiculous but I want it. It’s very sci-fi. Thieves is part of Shop Sustainable this holiday season Shop Sustainable is a city-wide initiative that challenges consumers to shop ethically this holiday season. Its goal is to raise general awareness for eco friendly products, and at the same time promote many Toronto based and online retailers who carry them. The program is a collaboration of Fashion Takes Action and Evolution Green. It might seem like eco friendly products are hard to find, but in reality there are several Toronto based retailers who make doing the right thing a lot easier for consumers. Shop Sustainable has something “eco†for everyone, including adult and children’s clothing, toys, personal care products, products for the home, coffee, chocolate, stationary, gadgets and gear and more. The retailers participating in Shop Sustainable include: Baby on the Hip, Bullfrog Power, Caterpillar Baby, Chocosol, Daily Apple, Eco Flora, Greencricket.ca, GreenIsBlack.ca, Grassroots Store, I Recycle Computers, KaiKids.com, Kids …
These would look amazing with my boots. I’m really in love with the ones by RM by Roland Mouret. They are a wool-blend knit with alligator print. Love! images: net-a-porter.com
They are selling these Phi lace-up wool pants at Holt’s so I’ve been salivating over them in person. Pair this lace-up goodness with a pair of flat boots and your ready to go. image: net-a-porter.com
Straight Leg Trouser by Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony When I heard Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony would be a unisex collection I had my doubts. Early photos didn’t turn my crank at all either. However, I’m a sucker for a great pair of pants and Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony delivers for men and women. I also enjoy how they use the male and female together. See the rest of the Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony collection.
I was very impressed with my Buy Design Outfit that I thought I should dedicate a post to it. This the best full body shot I have at the moment. I happen to love this photo also. The fur caplet is Bear. Yes, you read that right Bear. I don’t own it. It was rented from a great vintage shop call The Refinery (588 Markham St.). I enjoyed every second wearing that caplet. It also was the focal point of my outfit. The top is Greta Constantine. You can’t see the back, but it’s basically non-existent on this shirt. The leggings are Member’s Only. The shoes are Nine West, a Balenciaga knockoff I’m told. I lived in these sandals last summer and plan on doing the same this summer. Purple Clutch is YSL. The feathered headpiece is from KC Hats (998 Bathurst St). I never imagined that the headpiece would work without hair, but I was proven wrong in the studio and I left the studio with it in a bag. images: Raymund Galsim, Gail …
I was a fan of Alexander McQueen’s print crazy Spring 2009 collection. These leggings are so amazing and so expensive. I hoping they are like hand printed or something like that. They are made from lycra and very beautiful in person. Skeleton-print Lycra leggings, Crystal print leggings, Eiffel Tower leggings, Alexander McQueen Eiffel Tower top To be totally badass I would love to pair the Eiffel Tower leggings with the Alexander McQueen Eiffel Tower top and a pair of Metallic shoe boots. Holt Renfrew is carrying the Crystal print and the wood grain print leggings at the Bloor Street store. images: net-a-porter.com
Y-3 Black Baseball Pants There is something very cute about these Y-3 baseball inspired pants. I think it’s because of my Yohji Yamamoto pant fetish.
I wanted Members Only Liquid Leggings back in July of 2008. They were priced at $98.00 (yikes!!!) and available at Urban Outfitters. Today I found them on sale at Urban Outfitters for 20 bucks. Score!!! They really do feel a little weird. I don’t anticipate they breathe much, but they aren’t as bad as the American Apparel versions. I can’t help but love them, they are so obnoxious.
