Montreal 2008 – Kitch and Swell Boutique
Kitch and Swell on Saint Laurent was the cutest shop I visited.

I visited the new Coach store with a co-worker last week. That store offends all my sensibilities. I was bombarded with the horrible CC monogram those horrible patchwork bags were all over the place. I can’t remember the last time I saw so many fugly bags in one place. Actually, I don’t think I’ve every seen so many fugly bags in one place. The store is accessories only, no clothing. I didn’t see any shoes, but I could be wrong. Look at this hideous thing, who finds this appealing. I want to know. They did have the only thing I could find on the website that I liked. images: coach.com
Forever 21 has opened up in the location the Gap used to be in at Yonge and Dundas. A blogTOer was on hand for the opening.
Bargainista invited me to guest post about Trove on her blog. Be sure to head over and check it out. Trove is a great accessories store in the Annex area of Toronto. image: bargainista.blogspot.com
I’m really new to the services a shoe repairman offers as I’ve never really used them. I didn’t realize their power until I decided to sell these beautiful Nine West platforms I own. Aren’t they awesome? You could imagine how heart wrenching the decision to sell them was. They were just too damn tight in the toe area. I have a high tolerance for pain and I couldn’t fight through wearing them. Brand freaking new, I had worn them twice. TWICE!!! I was so disappointed. Thank god for MJ. He asked me why I was selling those beautiful heels. This statement was like salt on the wounds. When MJ likes something, I know without a doubt that it’s hot. Hot as term has forever been tainted because of that damn Paris Hilton. It’s such an accurate description. Damn Paris Hilton and those shoes, they were slipping through my fingers. I was getting angry again when MJ says, “Are they too short or is it just tight in the toe area? You can get them stretched …
I don’t understand. I ventured into the new Abercrombie & Fitch store in the Eaton Centre. Man, was the music loud it was like being in a club. Lets say that tshirts, tank tops, sweats and denim aren’t enought to get me excited about A&F, boring. But I’m not really their target demographic either. I didn’t even see any hot boys with no shirts on, boo! To me this stuff is just like American Eagle, Gap, Hollister and Old Navy. I would add too Roots, but at least they make some damn decent leather bags. related: The man behind Abercrombie & Fitch – shudder.
I’m not really a trend person, but I did latch on to the “white dress” phenomenon of S/S 2006, take this example from Chloe. I spent pretty much all spring and summer looking for that perfect white dress. Unfortunately, many I saw were too expensive, not quite right or just plain awful. I finally found what I was looking for on a recent trip to Stella Luna. I had always heard about this store, but just never made it to parkdale. This is by far the best vintage store in the city. I saw many items I liked.
So I decided to get a bra fitting on the weekend. Since I was in the Annex I ended up at Secrets from your sister. It was quite busy so there was a wait. It was well worth it. The staff are awesome. Friendly and helpful, their motto is “you won’t leave here with a bra that doesn’t fit”. I had lots of fun trying on many different bras. I also made some new friends Princesse Tam-Tam from France Charnos from the UK Liz from Brazil Calvin Klein used to be my favourite. No more, Princesse Tam-Tam has won my heart. I went in the Hollister store on my trip to the Eaton Centre last night. I had to see what all the hubbub was about. I hated it. The most annoying part was how dark it is in the store. You can’t see anything. Even the dressing room area is poorly lit, what the hell. I can only assume that they have something to hide, they don’t want you to see the clothes properly. Not until you get home that is and are too lazy to return it. From what I could see, there was nothing special, nothing worthy of grabbing my attention. Nothing that screamed “YOU MUST OWN ME”. Boo urns Hollister, boo urns.
I’ve discovered that Artizia is carrying 2 Tano handbag styles. They are damn good looking ones too.
$195.00 CDN – Alchemist Crunch in chocolate brown
$210 – Gerard Cruberdeen in Pea Green/Brown.
I handled the bags a lot while I was in the store and they are amazing. If you are really into the massive handbag, Tano is your company.
