Perfecto Fall Winter 2012 Streetstyle

It was an absolute pleasure to participate in the Fall Winter 2012 Perfecto Mag Street Style video. I’ve been dying for it to come out and here it is. It’s amazing how it all came together. There was hair and makeup, styling, still shots and video clips.

Most of the clothing from the video is my own. I’ve taken some screengrabs to break it down.

80% of the time I’m wearing some kind of Prada sunglasses. Here I’m sporting the Minimal Baroque.

Ahh the pants, a random Versace x H&M find. They look great on camera.

One of my favourite clutches bought from my favourite (now closed) stores, Chasse Gardee. I can’t remember where I bought the ring, probably Obsessions. The Hermès bracelet is paired with one from Lia Sophia (courtesy of Lia Sophia). Nails are gold by Essie.

The shoes are my replacement Camilla Skovgaard’s. They look really great in the video. I was standing on a small brick wall in the Front and Church intersection at the time. It was funny shooting there with everyone gawking.

The jacket isn’t mine. It’s beautiful and it’s Greta Constantine. I love it. The white button up is from Joe Fresh.

Thank you so much Diego, May and Kristjan for asking me to be part of this Perfecto Mag joint!

H&M x Versace Fall Winter 2011 – 2012

H&M x Versace Fall Winter 2011 - 2012
Thank god I was burning the midnight oil last night so I could get this post up. H&M is teaming up with Donatella Versace for the next designer collaboration.

H&M is proud to announce that its fall 2011 designer collaboration will be with one of the world’s most legendary fashion brands, Versace. Designed by its creative director Donatella Versace, the exclusive collection will look back to the vibrant heritage of the brand, full of leather, print, colour and exuberance in exclusive materials at fantastic H&M prices. The collection will include lines for women, men and selected pieces for the home. The collection will be released in North America on Saturday, November 19th. It will be sold in about 300 stores worldwide as well as online. In addition, Donatella Versace has also designed a pre-spring collection for H&M which will be exclusively available in countries with H&M online sales from January 19th, 2012.

“I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching their wide audience. The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere,” says Donatella Versace.

“Versace is one of the most important brands of recent times and their collection for H&M will be glamorous and flamboyant – everything Versace stands for. Donatella Versace is sharing with us iconic designs from the archives. This is such a celebratory collaboration and is perfect for the festive season,” says Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.

For H&M, Donatella Versace has looked back to the archives to reinterpret some classic Versace designs. The womenswear collection will be dominated by dresses that express the spirit of the season, featuring studded leather, silk and colourful prints, and accessories including high heels and costume jewelry. The men’s collection will focus on sharp tailoring, including the perfect tuxedo, as well as belts and jewelry for men. For the first time in a designer collaboration at H&M, the collection will include home decor pieces including pillows and a bedspread.

This choice came out of left field for me but I look forward to the end result.

Modelgeddon, a Fashion Film by LOVE Magazine and Versace

The trailer for Modelgeddon looks awesome. It’s a fashion film from LOVE Magazine and Versace. I can’t wait to see the whole thing.

See first glimpse of a LOVE and VERSACE city, the completely original design of which was digitally created specifically for this film by Director and Designer, James Lima, with Creative Direction by LOVE’s Editor-in-Chief, Katie Grand.
Grand says: “Working with James Lima again was of course completely thrilling, and adding Versace in to the mix was very exciting. The models we used are badass cyber chicks who are so cool and fuck-me gorgeous they don’t care that the world is falling apart. James is indeed a genius.”
This city in fact does not exist; Alessandra Ambrosio, Ana Beatriz Barros, Claudia Mason, and Julie Ordon, all wearing Versace Fall/Winter 2010/11, were filmed separately, acting and reacting to the virtual world crumbling around them. Lima describes MODELGEDDON as:”Supermodels, being über bitchy, dressed in sexy Versace, shot with a RED camera, with a huge amount of computer graphic destruction, in a photo-real urban landscape”.

Versace Menswear Spring Summer 2011

Versace Menswear Spring Summer 2011

I received an email with some photos of the Versace Menswear Fall Winter 2010 – 2011 show from a person at enternewmedia.com. I guess Versace has contracted them for their social media campaign. I skimmed through the photos but didn’t really pay much attention. It’s almost a month later and I was looking through some images and rediscovered the Versace collection. I’m really liking the ’80 rockabilly style Donatella Versace was channeling this season.

Versace Menswear Spring Summer 2011

I found a video of the collection, it’s not the best quality but it has the original soundtrack (which is kick ass).

There are a couple men’s styles that I gravitate to. Rockabilly is one. It all starts with the pompadour, what a great hairstyle. Hello, creepers, so kick ass. I also love the slim, lean silhouette. I love a straight up suit on a man. The only requirement is that is fits well. It could be a Zoot Suit or a boxy Armani gangster suit. It’s one of the reasons why I love working in the financial district. Even though you see more ill fitting suits than excellent fitting one.
