The Lanvin Fall 2010 Collection felt very savage to me. Perhaps it was the dark bobs or the dark, robotic jewellery. It was a series of powerful looks that would make great fashion armour. The is drama with lots of feathers, furs and beading. The clothes also add drama with pleats. The collection consisted of dark colours and the occasional metallic. I’m really taken with this Lanvin Spring 2010 ad campaign by Steven Meisel featuring model Jamie Bochert. I really like that that model’s face isn’t visible, it makes the clothing and accessories stand out much more. I can’t wait to see the rest of the campaign. image: the Fashion Spot

I’m happy with all the shots but I don’t get the Madonna crotch shot effect from Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 that I’m noticing in different campaigns right now. the Fashion Spot
I’m a total Lanvin fangirl so it’s pretty much guaranteed I’m gonna like the collections. Lanvin showed a much more sporty style for Resort. Lots of running shoes and jumpers. Yes, I approve of both. The colours are so vibrant and rich. I really liked the presentation of the collection. It seemed more like a lookbook than runway show. Models were paired together or alone and in motion. I’m a sucker for the in motion shots. There were the more sporty items paired with Lanvin sneakers and then they were the elegant pieces. Metal Flower Cuff Bracelet by Lanvin Metal Flower Choker Necklace I love Lanvin jewellery, so this shouldn’t be a surprise. There is always an element of hardness that offsets the traditionally beautiful in these pieces and with other Lanvin pieces.
There are a few of the Miss Lanvin porcelain dolls available at Lusiaviaroma site if anyone is looking to acquire one. I talked about these dolls that are inspried by the Spring 2009 collection previously. There are also keychains which are cheaper and made out of metal. The details are incredible, tulle, pearls and satin. Tilda Swinton is awesome. She takes risks with her clothing and can pull off looks like this one that was on the cover of Another Magazine . She was the only one I thought looked great at the Oscars. I’m enjoying the Lanvin Spring Summer 2009 Ad Campaign. The clothing is beautiful of course, that goes without saying. I’m loving the whole “cheekily playing in your large changroom before it’s time to go out” vibe that is happening in this campaign. I usually don’t find depictions of narcissism that attractive, but I think the mirror loving Iselin works very, very well. Alber is designing denim. Designed for city dwellers high and low, the reinvented classic tuxedo jackets, trenches, charming minidresses, and cuffed jeans are sure to satisfy style mongers of every taste—if not every budget. Coming to a store near you in November with prices like jeans ranging from $550 to $650, coats from $1,200 to $1,500 and Jewelry and handbags above $1,500. Lanvin certainly isn’t cheap. Jeremy Laing is in the July 2008 issue of W mag. Here is a teaser scan, but go out and get a copy. I got mine. He is part of the Summer Camp editorial shot by Bruce Weber. The link has a slideshow of some of the images. There is a lot of naked Lara Stone, Daria and Kate Moss all over the place, be warned. School’s out, and the livin’ is easy. The latest flock of new designers hits the road with some top models and friends for a little fun—dressed or not—under the Miami sun.
